The University of Cape Coast Ghana (UCC) Management has addressed recent misinformation circulating on Ghanaweb, dated Thursday, 4th January, 2024, regarding an alleged ban on the operations of the University in Nigeria among other 18 foreign universities
Contrary to the false claims, according to the University of Cape Coast (UCC), the University’s management categorically asserts that it does not maintain any campus or outlet in Nigeria. Further stating that the University has not authorized any institution in Nigeria to operate as a franchise or offer its academic programs.
Applicants, including international students, particularly Nigerians, are reminded that the official application process to study at UCC involves direct submission to the University for thorough consideration.
Regrettably, it appears that Ghanaweb, in its eagerness to report, overlooked crucial facts. Without proper verification, the news outlet mistakenly associated a certain Cape Coast University (CCU) with the esteemed University of Cape Coast (UCC), tarnishing the latter’s reputation in the process, the Institution remarked in a Media Release.
